		<description>This is a very interesting question. Conventionally brick and mortar drove the .com name and everyone else followed because conventional wisdom was that if you did not have a .com you would never get found. Well I do a lot of marketing with bitly type addresses that cloud my address anyway. At one time bitly signalled the &quot;dark side&quot; whatever that means. But now with Twitter requiring shortened web addresses so you can send them in a 140 character tweet...shortened non meaningful web addresses really don&#039;t have hte same connotation anymore. Why not have creative URLs and who cares if the DNS servers all have a heartattack..
