Now just to reiterate, 50 users at the same time is quite a lot and we are testing on the cheapest shared hosting plan but if we drop the count to 25 users, well, the stress test results become much better.
So for any small store, the cheapest plan will be more than enough, but for a mid-tier project I might suggest going with the business shared hosting plan or Cloud VPS. When I tested Liquid Web e-commerce website with the same 50 virtual user setup, the results were smooth as butter. There were no errors and my server handled the increase in users marvelously. And the renewals, well, it jumps up quite a bit, let's not sugarcoat it, to around 60 bucks a month.
